On the 4th of July 2025, the members of the Centre for Constitutional Law Studies and Research (CCLSR), KIIT School of Law had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble Minister of Law and Justice (I/C), Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, reigniting a conversation that had first taken shape in the year 2023.

That first rendezvous, etched in memory, had seen the members of CCLSR step into the hallowed corridors of the Indian Parliament, absorbing the spirit of our democracy and engaging in an exchange of ideas that continues to inspire our path. It was during that meeting that the Hon’ble Minister had entrusted the CCLSR with a significant responsibility, to prepare a report on the Indian legal system and possible improvements therein.

Since then, the CCLSR has moved forward with resolve and direction. The Hon’ble Minister was updated on the strides made, particularly the initiation of our flagship research endeavour, The InnoJuris Project, which aims to reimagine the Indian legal framework through focused, evidence-based policy research. Multiple reports under this initiative are currently underway, driven by a vision of innovation, inclusivity, and institutional improvement.

The Minister was also apprised of the upcoming Verdict Vibes compilation, a curated initiative designed to make landmark judgments more accessible and engaging to readers across disciplines. Alongside, a broader overview of the ongoing growth of CCLSR and the research spirit at KIIT School of Law was shared.

In closing, the members warmly extended an invitation to the Hon’ble Minister to visit KIIT School of Law, to engage further, to inspire, and to witness the progress of the work he helped set in motion.

A meeting that wasn’t just ceremonial, but deeply consequential. A moment that we carry forward with gratitude and purpose.
