BBA.LL.B, KIIT School of Law (2016-21)

I am glad and fortunate enough to be given the chance of writing and sharing my experience about my alma-mater. As per my definition a University means a place where there should be an environment that fosters competitiveness, critical thinking, creativity and innovation and KIIT has given me all of these or even more than that. I feel spending 5 years in my Law School was just a very short span of time I wish I could have been a part for some more years. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all my faculties who have guided and supported me throughout those years and also for their effortless teachings and all the valuable knowledge that they have given me in both theoretically and practically. I being a very active student and an active part of almost all the societies in my college also was able to manage my studies and classes and all the credit goes to my Faculties, Director sir and our Hon’ble Founder Sir. My college has given me so much that words will always fall short to describe it. I would always be grateful to my college for where I am today and where I will be tomorrow and for the rest of my life. It has groomed me and nurtured me and my aspirations so well for which I am definitely a better person today and assure to be an asset wherever I go in future.
I can proudly say that I am a “Lovable KIITian” and will always be. Lastly, I would like to say that “KIIT is not just a University but it’s an emotion”.
Signed off as student but will remain as a part of it forever.

Currently pursuing LL.M (General legal Studies), O. P. Jindal Global University (2021-22)

Two of the most important thing that KIIT gave me: freedom and exposure. It is a place of absolute academic freedom whereas a student can do anything he wants as long as it is bringing a good outcome – starting from internships to sitting in the top class library surrounded by books, from moots to research papers. I got teachers and family-like seniors whom I can ask questions even at 1am knowing that I will get my answer replied back before I wake up. From 17 years old kid from Bengali medium state-board school in tribal area of West Bengal – lacking fluency in spoken English, I became a 22 years old lawyer with two reputed publications, two national and one international moot trophy.

The Five Years that I have spent at School of Law, KIIT University were the best years and was a life changing experience. In college, extracurricular and co-curricular activities were a part of my daily schedule which made my experience all the more enjoyable by contributing in the smallest scale that I could to the college. I shared some amazing bonding with few Professors who taught me beyond classrooms and still continue to be my mentors for life. KIIT Law School is one college which provides immense opportunities to each student considering that each student is the best!!

When I joined KIIT School of Law, I didn’t even have the slightest idea that at the end of five years, it’s not just the degree I will be taking away with me but also, more importantly, a new version of myself would walk out of the door. From entering the hostel premises with a lot of uncertainty and hesitation on 7.07.2016 to standing on the podium, recieving the twin Gold Medals at my Convocation on 14.08.2021, five years at KSOL not just enriched my mind with the legal niceties but also transformed me as a human being. With my biggest take-away being my esteemed faculties and their invaluable guidance, within and without the classroom, I cannot fail to acknowledge their priceless contribution to my growth. The teaching and non-teaching staff, under the guidance of our esteemed Director, form the pillars of KSOL and needless to say, the institution, thus stands strong even in the face of global adversities like the ongoing pandemic. Any amount of gratitude would not be enough to convey my regards towards the institution. As I walk out of KSOL and enter the real arena of the world, I hope to make KSOL proud at every step of the way that lies ahead.

To being a KIITian forever!

Arijeet Nandi
BSc.LLB (2014-2019)

Hello! I am Arijeet, currently working as an Associate with a law firm based out of Myanmar. I graduated from School of Law, KIIT University in 2019 with a degree in B.Sc. LL.B. (Business Law Hons.). As a law student, I have always been deeply intrigued by the workings of legal institutions. Hence, I have taken an equal interest in praxis as I had taken towards academia. I was also the recipient of the Chancellor’s Gold Medal and Nanibala Memorial Gold Medal for scoring the highest CGPA across all streams in the LL.B. program.
From my undergraduate years, I have undertaken academic projects which involved intensive reading and research. I have actively participated in several co-curricular and extra-curricular competitions. Being an avid mooter, I have won a few accolades as well. Going beyond my specialization in Business Law, I have also critically engaged with legal questions in other areas of law and had also participated in seminars & conferences. Additionally, I have never missed a chance to showcase my skills in classical dance, during cultural events.
My Professors in law school have always encouraged me to push my limits. They have shown immense faith in me and I owe a lot of what I am today, to them. These 5 years have been life-changing. I have made a few friends and memories to cherish for a lifetime. My college years have helped me build an arsenal to face the real-world, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

KLS offers a powerful set of tools that every law undergraduate student may think of, be it library/ digital library, moot court rooms, specialised courses and others. And if you get struck, their faculty/ placement team will help you out. My very first and only reason to join KLS was its BSc.LL.B. Programme, and that helped me manage the entire inbound process. I am sure in 5 years you can explore a complete lead generation school set up! ”
