Mr. Faiz Ayat Ansari, Head of the Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law at KIIT School of Law, recently represented the institution as a featured speaker at the Global Congress 2026: Socioeconomic Impacts, Public Policies, and Access to Justice.

Invited by the University of Far South of Santa Catarina (UNESC), Brazil, Mr. Ansari delivered a compelling address titled “Federalism as a Tool for Enhancing Access to Justice: Lessons from Constitutional Design in Addressing Socioeconomic Disparities.” His presentation explored the intrinsic link between governance structures and the equitable distribution of justice, particularly for marginalized sections of society.

Key themes from his address included:

  • Constitutional Design: How federal frameworks can be engineered to bridge socioeconomic gaps.
  • Governance & Equity: The impact of decentralized power on local access to legal remedies.
  • Comparative Lessons: Drawing insights from diverse constitutional models to improve policy outcomes.

The session, facilitated by Prof. (Dr.) Jorge Isaac Torres Manrique, sparked high levels of engagement from an international audience of scholars and policymakers. Mr. Ansari’s contribution to this global dialogue underscores KIIT’s growing influence in the field of comparative constitutional law and its commitment to addressing global socioeconomic challenges through legal scholarship.
