The Department of IPR Law and Practice in collaboration with the Centre for Intellectual Property Studies, KIIT School of Law, proudly hosted Day 1 of IP Week 2025, aligning with WIPO’s World IP Day!
The inaugural day featured an enlightening lineup:
Prof. Dr. Sudipta De Sarkar, Advisor to Department of IPR Law and Practice and CIPS, set the context, emphasizing the evolving landscape of intellectual property.
Prof. Dr. N. L. Mitra, inspired students with a motivational address on embracing IPR challenges.
Prof. Dr. Parimita Dash, HOD for Department of IPR Law and Practice, warmly welcomed the chief guest, Dr. Prabuddha Ganguli, CEO of Vision-IPR, and introduced his pioneering work.

✅ Biotechnology Frontiers: From Louis Pasteur’s patents to futuristic “hybrid societies” blending AI, nanotechnology, and synthetic biology.
✅ Call for global collaboration to adapt IPR frameworks to self-replicating technologies and ethical governance.
