The KIIT School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University, takes pride in sharing that Dr. Sarvesh Shahi, Assistant Professor-II, was invited to chair a technical session at the One-Day International Conference on “Inclusive Higher Education as a Human Right: Addressing Gender, Age, and Intersectional Inequalities in Indian Universities”, held on Saturday, 31 January 2026 at National Law University Odisha.
The conference was jointly organised by the Centre for Women and Law (CWL), NLUO, in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), and brought together scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to deliberate on the evolving dimensions of inclusivity in higher education.
Mr. Shahi chaired a technical session alongside the distinguished academician Prof. (Dr.) Sheela Rai, where rich and thought-provoking discussions took place on addressing structural inequalities related to gender, age, and intersectionality within Indian universities. The session witnessed insightful presentations and meaningful exchanges on advancing equity and access as core components of the right to education.
