On September 2, 2024, the KIIT Legal Services Clinic of KIIT School of Law lit up the halls of Shailendra Narayan Government High School in Patia with a dynamic speed mentoring event designed for 9th and 10th graders. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students gathered to explore vital social and legal topics in their native Odia language.

The event kicked off with the enthusiastic duo Neetisha Mohanty and Falguni Mundhra, who captivated the audience with their engaging introduction. They stressed the importance of legal awareness in today’s world, setting the stage for an enriching experience.

Ankita Sathpathy took the spotlight next, enlightening the students about their educational rights. Her passionate talk on the Right to Education Act and the myriad of benefits offered by government schemes resonated deeply, inspiring students to advocate for their rights and those of their peers.

Following this, Priyadarshini Mohanty brought a fresh perspective on Fundamental Rights and Duties. Her insightful session empowered students to embrace their roles as responsible citizens, encouraging them to actively participate in their communities and understand the rights that protect them.

The event culminated with Subhashish Kumar Sahu, who delivered a crucial discussion on the POCSO Act.
