KIIT School of Law was pleased to host Advocate Soumyajyoti Biswal, Partner at Pegasus Research Office Global and a distinguished alumnus of the School, for an expert session on “Professional & Courtroom Etiquette.” The School also warmly welcomed the firm’s team members, along with Ms. Sweta Senapati, alumna of the 2019 graduating batch and Senior Associate at the firm.

The session commenced with the felicitation of the delegates by the Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Raju KD. Advocate Biswal then delivered an insightful and practice-oriented address on courtroom conduct and professional advocacy. He underscored that effective advocacy is deeply rooted in discipline, thorough preparation, and consistency in professional conduct—both within and beyond the courtroom.

The programme was further enriched by Dr. Kaish Q Khan from KIIT Kareer School, who shared valuable perspectives on Professional Communication. His session highlighted the significance of clear communication, emotional intelligence, meeting etiquette, and adaptability in contemporary professional environments, addressing several practical workplace challenges faced by young professionals.

The session was attended by faculty members and concluded with an engaging interactive forum and question-and-answer session, enabling students to directly interact with the speakers and gain practical insights from their professional journeys.

The programme was organized by the Training & Placement Cell, KIIT School of Law, with the objective of familiarizing students with the standards of conduct, professionalism, and decorum essential for a successful career in the legal profession.
