KIIT School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, was invited by the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, Odisha Police, to contribute to its five-day Specialized In-service Training Course on “Advance Cyber Crime Investigation”, held at Ranasinghpur, Bhubaneswar.
On 6 February 2026, Dr. Sambhabi Patnaik, Assistant Professor (II) and Head, Department of Intellectual Property Law, delivered an expert session for officers ranging from the rank of Inspector to Additional Superintendent of Police. The session focused on “Role of Cyber Law in Cyber Crime Investigation: Key Legal Framework, Tools and Effective Practices.”
The interaction emphasized the critical role of cyber law, electronic evidence, and investigative tools in strengthening cyber crime investigations. The session aligned with Odisha Police’s ongoing efforts to enhance institutional capacity across ranks to address the growing challenges of cyber offences.
