Dr. Lipsa Dash, Assistant Professor, KIIT School of Law was selected among the 12 Law Lecturers from India for a transformative Law Lecturers’ Workshop in Animal Rights Law, organised by Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law and hosted by the Animal Law Centre at NALSAR, Hyderabad. This five-day workshop is scheduled to take place from 1st to 5th July, 2024 in Hyderabad, India.

Dr. Sean Butler and Dr. Raffael Fasel from the University of Cambridge, were the tutors of the workshop and equipped the participants with invaluable course materials, effective pedagogical strategies, and a wealth of resources to develop and deliver compelling Animal Rights Law courses. With their extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Butler, and Dr. Fasel guided the participants through syllabus design, student engagement techniques, and innovative teaching methods. The sponsors of the workshop included the Brooks Institute for Animal Rights Law & Policy and the Jeremy Coller Foundation. This session helped Dr. Lipsa to design a course on Animal Welfare and Rights Law for the students of KIIT DU.
