The Centre for Studies and Research in Legislative Drafting conducted its very first offline Legislative Drafting Competition on the 13 th of November, 2024. The students were asked to write a draft on “The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Criminal Law Bill of 2024”. The event was a great success with a turnover of 65 participants who were very enthusiastic for the event and worked diligently on their drafts. Under the guidance of our new faculty convenor Dr. Hiranmaya Nanda and faculty co-convenor Mr. Priyadarshi Jha, the core team of CSRLD with their Convenor Swapnakalpa Datta and Co-convenor Ramyani Bhattacharya took the initiative to conduct this one in a kind event to encourage the students of KIIT Law School to take interest in this niche area of law which is of utmost importance in the Indian Legal System.
