The School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University, takes pride in congratulating Mr. Faiz Ayat Ansari, Head of the Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law and Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), on being invited as a distinguished Resource Person at the One Week Capacity Building Programme/Faculty Development Programme on Judicial Process, organised by Bharati Vidyapeeth in collaboration with Law Teachers India.
Mr. Ansari delivered an engaging session on “Ratio Decidendi, Obiter Dicta, and Stare Decisis,” focusing on the doctrinal foundations of judicial reasoning and the theory of precedents. His lecture provided a nuanced understanding of how binding principles emerge from judicial decisions, the distinction between authoritative and persuasive observations, and the continuing relevance of stare decisis in maintaining consistency and stability in constitutional adjudication.
The session was well received by participating faculty members and scholars, who benefitted from his clarity of analysis and practical insights into judicial interpretation. The invitation reflects Mr. Ansari’s scholarly engagement with constitutional principles and his growing recognition as a legal academic in the field of judicial process.
The School of Law celebrates this achievement as a testament to KIIT’s commitment to excellence in legal scholarship, faculty development, and meaningful academic collaboration at the national level. We extend our best wishes to Mr. Ansari for his continued contributions to legal education and research.
