Mr. Udit Narayan Mishra, Assistant Professor of Law at KIIT School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University, served as a Resource Person at the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Academy of Prisons & Correctional Services, Chhatabar, Bhubaneswar.
He delivered a specialized interactive session on 21st February 2026 as part of a three-day training programme titled “Correctional Programmes in Prisons”, sponsored by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). The intensive workshop was conducted from 19th to 21st February 2026 and aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of prison officials.
The inter-state training programme witnessed the participation of selected prison officers from Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. During his session, Mr. Mishra shared valuable legal perspectives and contemporary correctional approaches focused on rehabilitation, reformative justice, and effective prison administration.
His contribution to this national-level initiative reflects KIIT School of Law’s continued engagement with institutional reform, correctional administration, and capacity-building efforts in the criminal justice system.
