Bhabani Prasad Rath

Dr. Bhabani P. Rath, after completion of his post-graduation in Labour and Social Welfare from Berhampur University started his career as a Labour Officer in Labour Directorate, Government of Odisha. But subsequently shifted to teaching when he got an opportunity in Berhampur University, Odisha. During his teaching career at Berhampur University he was engaged in teaching at the post-graduate students and conducting research. He got his Doctoral Degree in 1987 and as a supervisor has successfully guided 11 Ph. D. Shcolars and three D.Litt. scholars. In addition he was associated with training activities for executives and non-executives in different industrial organisations in the various aspects of Human Resource Management in Odisha and outside, Regarding his publications, he has published one book and 25 articles in different national and international journals. He has attended two international conferences, one in Las Vegas, the U.S.A and the second in Venice, Italy in 2011 and 2014 respectively. While serving in Berhampur University, he also has been assigned with different administrative responsibilities of the University, like Secretary, Sports Council, Controller of Examinations, Comptroller of Finance and Registrar apart from the Head of the Post Graduate Department of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management. His career as a teacher and researcher spreads over for over 34 years, starting from February, 1978 to August 2014 when he retired after attaining the age of superannuation
