Kyvalya Garikapati

Dr. Kyvalya Garikapati is the Dean (Academics) and Associate Professor at KIIT School of Law. She completed her LL.B. from Montessori Mahila College of Law, Vijayawada in 1997 and her LL.M in Constitutional Law and Administrative Law in 2006, where she was a gold medalist at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur. Dr. Kyvalya earned her Ph.D. from the same university in 2019.
Her career began with practicing as an advocate at the Guntur Bar Association from 1998 to 2004. She then transitioned to academia, lecturing at Andhra Christian College of Law and Mahatma Gandhi College in Guntur from 2006 to 2012. In July 2012, she joined KIIT School of Law, where she has taught various subjects including Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Human Rights Law, Legislative Drafting, Indian Federalism and Media Law
Dr. Kyvalya is noted for her extensive research, having published numerous articles nationally and internationally. She also co-authored a textbook on Administrative Law with Prof. V.D. Sebastian. Additionally, she has guided several LLM dissertations and Ph.D. scholars, and recently received an ICSSR Short Term Special Call Project grant worth 15 lakhs.
