Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sadual joined KIIT School of Law in July 2025 as a Professor of Law. Before joining KIIT School of Law Dr. Sadual was the Dean, Faculty of Legal Studies and Head of the Department, P.G. Department of Law, Utkal University (Odisha). He was holding various positions in Utkal University including Chairperson of the Board of Studies (Law), Chairperson of the Department Research Committee (Law) and Member of the Academic Council. He did his graduation B.Sc in Chemistry, obtained LL.B Degree and M.A. (Public Administration) from Utkal University. He did LL.M from Berhampur University and got his Ph.D. from Utkal University. After completing LL.M he joined Balasore Law College, Balasore (Odisha) during 1995 as a Lecturer in Law. He has about 30 years of teaching and research experience. His teaching and research interests lie in the areas of Constitutional and Administrative Law in India; Law and Tribal Rights; Rights of Elderly Persons and Child Rights. Dr. Sadual has so far authored 03 Books, he has also to his credit more than 50 articles and research papers published in various reputed national and international journals on different aspects relevant to the contemporary society. He has successfully guided 08 Ph. D. scholars, mainly in the field of Tribal Rights, Environmental Justice and Right to Information. He has contributed in 02 UGC sponsored Research Projects. Dr. Sadual has organised several Seminars and Conferences in the P.G. Department of Law, Utkal University as the Director or Convenor. He has also conducted several Legal Awareness Programmes, Value Added Courses, Extra-mural Lectures and Special Lectures for benefit of the students. In his long career he has become a member of different decision making and advisory bodies of the Government/Universities/Academic institutions and discharged his responsibilities effectively and efficiently. He has always been committed to outstanding teaching and research activities within the framework of academic freedom and diversity of ideas.
