KIIT School of Law is delighted to share that a team comprising Stuti Gangopadhyay (4th year), Omel Lisa Paul (4th year), and Shivangini Mohanty (4th year) have emerged as the Winners of the Arjunlal Agarwal National Moot Court Competition, 2025, organised by Birla Global University.
The competition focused on complex issues under the NDPS laws and criminal law framework, testing participants’ skills in research, drafting, and oral advocacy. The problem dealt with contemporary challenges in narcotics regulation, procedural safeguards, and the interpretation of criminal intent in controlled substance cases. Teams from prestigious law schools across the country participated, engaging in intense rounds of arguments before panels of distinguished judges and legal practitioners. The event offered students a valuable platform to deepen their understanding of criminal jurisprudence and statutory interpretation in drug-related offenses.
We are also proud to announce that Stuti Gangopadhyay (4th year) has been adjudged as the Best Speaker of the competition. The team was felicitated and awarded for their outstanding achievement by the Honourable Founder of KIIT Deemed to be University, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. The recognition stands as a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and the inspiring leadership of our Founder, whose vision, encouragement, and support continue to motivate the entire KIIT fraternity.
Heartiest congratulations to the team on this remarkable accomplishment.
