The Centre for Constitutional Law Studies and Research (CCLSR), KIIT School of Law, successfully organized a panel discussion on 22nd October 2024 titled “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman: Celebrating 75 Years of the Constitution – Challenges and the Road Ahead” The event brought together esteemed speakers, legal experts, and academicians to reflect on the challenges and future of the Indian Constitution.
The discussion featured prominent panelists, including Justice Kurian Joseph, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Dr. Anindita Pujari, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, and Dr. Uday Shankar, Associate Professor, Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur.
The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Debashis Bandyopadhyay, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KIIT University, and Professor Dr. N.L. Mitra, Professor Emeritus, along with other dignitaries. Dr. Professor Rose Varghese, Director of KIIT School of Law, was also present and delivered an insightful welcome address. The vote of thanks was given by Shashank Nande, Faculty Convenor, CCLSR, who expressed his gratitude to all the distinguished guests, faculty, and staff for their contributions to the success of the event. The discussion highlighted the importance of constitutional values and their relevance in contemporary legal discourse, marking a significant milestone in celebrating 75 years of the Indian Constitution.
The esteemed guests were given a tour of the KIIT Law Library, Moot Court Hall, and classrooms, where they praised the state-of-the-art facilities and the commitment of KIIT School of Law to providing a comprehensive legal education.
