KIIT School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, marked the 76th year of the Indian Constitution on 26 November 2025 with a distinguished ceremony centred on the theme “The Constitution Beyond 75: Reflect. Reform. Reaffirm.” Organised under the leadership of the KIIT Centre for Constitutional Law Studies & Research (CCLSR), the event brought together everyone to celebrate our Constitution’s enduring relevance.

The programme commenced with a solemn reading of the Preamble by Dr. Tulishree Pradhan, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Constitutional Law, setting a reflective and aspirational tone.

Hon’ble Justice Indira Banerjee, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India addressed the gathering as the Chief Guest. Drawing on her vast judicial experience, she described the Constitution as a people-centric framework upholding justice and equality, stressed society’s shared responsibility in sustaining the rule of law, and urged students to promote legal awareness and contribute to its effective implementation.

Guest of Honour Dr. Manoj Kumar, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department), joined remotely and emphasised that the Constitution is India’s living journey toward justice and progress, sustained by the people’s collective commitment to its core values.

The event was graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raju K.D., Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, and senior faculty members. A note of gratitude was extended to Founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta in absentia for his unwavering guidance and support. 

The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Shashank Nande, Assistant Professor and Faculty Convenor of CCLSR and KIIT Anthem, bringing everyone together in a shared sense of constitutional pride and commitment.
