On 7 February 2026, the NSS KSOL Unit successfully conducted a Beach Cleanliness Drive at Swargadwara Beach, Puri, as part of the Environmental Awareness Drive—an initiative founded by our beloved Founder, Prof. Dr. Achyuta Samanta.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers, who, under the guidance of the Programme Officer, diligently cleaned the allotted stretch of the beach. The volunteers displayed commendable energy, discipline, and a strong sense of social responsibility while contributing to the protection of the coastal environment.
The drive also served as an effective platform to spread awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable practices among the public. The NSS KSOL Unit extends its sincere gratitude to KIIT University, the Puri Beach Authority, the Puri Municipal Authority, their officer in-charges, and the District Administration, Puri, for their invaluable support and cooperation.
The event concluded on a successful note, reinforcing the spirit of community engagement and environmental stewardship among the volunteers.
