KIIT School of Law organized Budget Conclave Week 2026 from 9 to 16 February 2026, centering on the Union Budget 2026 presented by Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman—her ninth consecutive Budget presentation. The week-long programme created a vibrant academic platform for critical engagement with fiscal policy, governance, and economic reforms.
The Conclave was conducted by the Department of Humanities, Management and Science under the leadership of Prof. Dr. P. N. Rath, Head of the Department, in association with Tarka Samuha, the Debating Society of KIIT School of Law. The initiative was guided by Faculty Coordinator Prof. Dr. Bhubaneswari Bisoyi and Faculty Co-Coordinator Prof. Susmita Priyadarshini Mishra.
The week featured a poster-making competition, a public speaking contest titled ‘Fiscal Flash in 120 Seconds’, and an insightful lecture on the Budget delivered by Mr. Tuhin Sinha, coordinated by Ms. Tulip Suman and Mr. Prateek Mishra.
The valedictory programme on 16 February 2026 was graced by CA Arun Kumar Sabat and Prof. Dr. Pritish K. Sahu. Prof. Dr. N. L. Mitra and Prof. Dr. Raju K. D., Pro Vice-Chancellor, addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with prize distribution and a vote of thanks by Anwesha Acharya.
