On 1st March 2026, Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Shahi, Head of the Department, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice System, KIIT School of Law, was invited as a Resource Person at the Odisha Police District Headquarters, Cuttack. During the programme, he delivered expert sessions on Fundamentals of Cybersecurity and Building Specialized Cyber Units for Modern Policing. The sessions focused on emerging cyber threats, handling digital evidence, the use of investigative tools, and the need for institutional preparedness in tackling cybercrime. The interactive training highlighted the significance of collaboration between academia and law enforcement agencies in strengthening cybercrime investigation and response mechanisms in the digital age.
