In a significant move toward internationalizing legal education, the KIIT School of Law (KLS) formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Praeeminentia Iustitia Interdisciplinary School of Fundamental Rights (PIISFR), Peru, on February 1, 2026.

This strategic alliance, signed by Prof. (Dr.) Raju K.D., Pro Vice-Chancellor, KLS, and Prof. (Dr.) Jorge Isaac Torres Manrique, President, PIISFR, establishes a robust framework for academic exchange and high-level research. The collaboration covers a wide spectrum of initiatives, including:

  • Faculty and Student Exchanges: Facilitating immersion programs and internships across continents.
  • Joint Research & Publications: Collaborative projects on fundamental rights and emerging legal trends.
  • Academic Synergy: Joint supervision of LL.M. and Doctoral theses, alongside co-organized international conferences and moot courts.

A key architect of this transcontinental partnership was Mr. Faiz Ayat Ansari, Head of the Department of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. His instrumental role in navigating the diplomatic and academic nuances of this agreement was vital in bridging the gap between Bhubaneswar and Arequipa, turning this vision of global scholarship into a reality.
