The Centre for Intellectual Property Studies (CIPS), in collaboration with the Department of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), KIIT School of Law, successfully organized a two-day guest lecture programme on 7th and 8th April 2026.

The sessions were delivered by Dr. Prabuddha Ganguli, CEO of Vision-IPR, a distinguished expert in the field of intellectual property law. The lectures focused on the framework of the TRIPS Agreement, with particular emphasis on Article 27, which addresses patentable subject matter and the scope of patent protection. Dr. Ganguli provided nuanced insights into the interpretation and application of these provisions, enriching participants’ understanding of global intellectual property standards.

The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members and students of the Intellectual Property Honors programme. The engaging discussions and expert perspectives made the sessions academically enriching and highly informative.

The initiative reflects KIIT School of Law’s continued commitment to fostering specialized knowledge and academic excellence in emerging areas of law.
