The Centre for Intellectual Property Studies (CIPS), in collaboration with the Department of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), KIIT School of Law, KIIT Deemed to be University, organised an insightful guest lecture on April 10, 2026.

The session was delivered by Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, Senior Regional Manager and Head of the Outreach Office at the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The lecture was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) K.D. Raju, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University, along with distinguished faculty members and students of the 3rd and 4th year specialising in Intellectual Property Honours.

Dr. Sahu’s address focused on the pivotal role of Intellectual Property in driving innovation, fostering the growth of MSMEs, and strengthening the startup ecosystem. His session offered valuable insights into how effective IP management and commercialization strategies can contribute to sustainable economic development and technological advancement.
