KIIT School of Law proudly congratulates Dr. Ipsita Das and Dr. Tulishree Pradhan, Associate Professors, for their valuable academic contribution and support towards the successful Design Patent of the “Intelligent Sensor Device for Automated Wildlife Monitoring.”

The achievement, which has been featured in Odisha Daily and other prominent national newspapers, stands as a proud testament to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and commitment towards wildlife conservation and sustainable development.

The IP innovation titled “Intelligent Sensor Device for Automated Wildlife Monitoring” has been officially granted a design, marking a proud milestone in the journey of conservation-driven technological excellence. This remarkable achievement was led under the leadership of Sri Vishwanath Neelannavar, IFS., presently working as RCCF Berhampur & GM Berhampur OFDC Ltd., and was executed by Prof. Manoj Ukamanal, Assistant Registrar (EAM), KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. The device was developed at KIIT University Lab with the dedicated academic support and immediate efforts to design patent it by Dr. Ipsita Das, Associate Professor and Dr. Tulishree Pradhan, Associate Professor, KIIT School of Law.

The conceptualization and visualization of the project has been done in the Forest Innovation Cell of the Office of RCCF Berhampur. This significant milestone stands as a testimony to teamwork, tireless experimentation, prototype trials, meaningful discussions, and an unwavering commitment to innovation through collaboration by the team. It reflects the shared hope that technology can serve as a powerful ally in wildlife conservation, enabling smarter, non-invasive, and more effective monitoring of biodiversity.

The support has been extended by the Forest Innovation Cell, Office of RCCF Berhampur. This design patent is not merely an institutional achievement, but a symbol of dedication, collaboration and purpose in advancing the future of wildlife conservation.
