As part of the Kartavya Connect: KIIT Student–Dignitary Interaction Series (New Delhi Chapter), a student delegation from the KIIT Centre for Constitutional Law Studies and Research (CCLSR), KIIT School of Law, KIIT-DU, had the privilege of paying a courtesy visit to Ujjal Bhuyan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, on 18 June 2026 at His Lordship’s official residence in New Delhi.

The interaction provided students with a unique opportunity to engage with one of the distinguished members of the Supreme Court of India and gain deeper insights into constitutional governance, judicial philosophy, and the functioning of India’s constitutional framework.

During the interaction, meaningful discussions were held on constitutional law, the role of the judiciary in protecting fundamental rights, access to justice, and the importance of preserving constitutional values in a democratic society. His Lordship also shared valuable perspectives on legal education, the responsibilities of young legal professionals, and the significance of integrity, empathy, and commitment in the pursuit of justice.

The student delegation comprised Anushka Bharadwaj (Delegation Lead), Smruti Abhipsa Mishra, Aurodeep Nayak, Aryanshu Dev Bhagat, and Dibya Jyoti Patra.

The visit served as a remarkable learning experience, offering students first-hand exposure to constitutional discourse and judicial perspectives while reinforcing the values that guide the administration of justice in India. The interaction reflects KIIT School of Law’s continued commitment to experiential learning and meaningful engagement with institutions of constitutional significance.
