The KSOL Student Alumni Relations Committee organized an insightful session as part of the Alumni Lecture Series on August 29, 2024. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Hitabhilash Mohanty, an esteemed alumnus from the 2010-2015 batch and the visionary Founder of Global Flamingos, one of India’s most trusted overseas education consultants.
The session, titled “Intricacies of Applying to Foreign Law Schools,” provided a wealth of knowledge on the complexities involved in pursuing legal education abroad. Mr. Mohanty shared his extensive experience in the global education sector, offering invaluable guidance on various aspects of the application process, from selecting the right course and university to securing scholarships and navigating visa procedures.
Mr. Mohanty emphasized the importance of selecting a program that aligns with one’s career goals and he also touched upon the financial considerations, including living costs in different regions and the availability of scholarships. Furthermore, the speaker provided guidance on how to effectively draft a compelling SOP and a resume.
During the session, his interactive approach encouraged students to actively participate, ask questions, and seek clarifications on various aspects of the subject matter. This two-way communication not only facilitated a better understanding of the topic but also fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas and perspectives. Mr. Mohanty’s expertise and practical acumen proved invaluable as he adeptly addressed the doubts and queries raised by the students, leaving no ambiguity in their pursuit of knowledge.
