The Centre for Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration (CCLCJA) successfully conducted the 2nd edition of the Devil’s Advocate Competition which was a two-day event. Day 1 started with the inaugural ceremony followed by the first round. Devil’s Advocate is a process in which a person presents a counterargument for the position she/he does not believe in. The debator has to become a critic in the proposed decision. The first round consisted of 10 participants and was judged by Prof. Konark Gupta and Prof. Priyadarshi Jha. The top six scorers of the first round moved to the 2nd round which was judged by Prof. Prateek Mishra and Dr. Rishi Dev. Upon the end of Day 2, the results were declared. Ms. Vaishnavi Raj of 4th Year emerged as the winner followed by Ms. Shivani Achari of 3rd Year who emerged as the Runners Up. Ms. Sakshi Sharma of 1st Year was declared as the Second Runners Up. The event concluded with the speech by Dr. Sidhartha Sekhar Das followed by the vote of thanks by Prof. Swati Mohapatra.
