KIIT School of Law continues to strengthen its commitment to experiential learning through meaningful academic engagements. On 10th March 2026, a delegation comprising 100 students, along with faculty members, PhD scholars, and LL.M. students, visited the “Nyaya Sanhita” Exhibition organised by the Criminal Investigation Department, Crime Branch, Odisha Police at the IDCO Exhibition Ground.

The exhibition aimed to create awareness about India’s newly enacted criminal laws—namely the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. Through a combination of interactive displays, visual demonstrations, and expert-led explanations, students gained valuable insights into the structure, objectives, and practical implications of these legislative reforms.

A key highlight of the visit was the exposure to real-world investigative procedures. As seen in the demonstration sessions (page 2), forensic experts explained the techniques and processes used in modern criminal investigations, enabling students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Students also explored advanced equipment displayed by the ODRAF wing of Odisha Police (page 3), offering a glimpse into the technological capabilities used in emergency response and rescue operations.

Adding to the pride of the institution, students Divya Singh (1st Year), Anuska Chatterjee (4th Year), Aishwarya Grover, and Jahnvi (1st Year) emerged as winners in a quiz competition conducted during the exhibition.

Facilitated by Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Shahi, Faculty Coordinator, the visit served as a significant academic exposure, reinforcing KIIT School of Law’s emphasis on practical learning and its dedication to producing legally informed and socially responsible professionals.
