As part of the Kartavya Connect: KIIT Student–Dignitary Interaction Series (New Delhi Chapter), a student delegation from the KIIT Centre for Constitutional Law Studies and Research (CCLSR), KIIT School of Law, KIIT-DU, had the privilege of meeting Chirag Paswan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, on 2 June 2026 at the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI), Panchsheel Bhawan, New Delhi.

The interaction provided students with valuable insights into India’s rapidly evolving food processing sector and the Ministry’s initiatives aimed at strengthening agricultural value chains, promoting entrepreneurship, generating employment opportunities, and ensuring food security. The Hon’ble Minister also shared his perspectives on leadership, public service, skill development, start-up ecosystems, and the role of youth in driving meaningful change and nation-building.

The student delegation comprised Swapnajeet Pattnaik (Delegation Lead), Ikshya Rupayita Ray, Abhay Kumar Singh, Sidharth Das, T. Tanisha, Dibya Jyoti Patra, Kritarth Dubey, and Pritam Nath.

The visit offered students a unique opportunity to engage with a key policymaker and gain first-hand exposure to governance, public policy, and the Government of India’s vision for inclusive growth and sustainable development. The interaction reflects KIIT School of Law’s continued commitment to experiential learning and meaningful engagement with institutions of national importance.
