Participating in a debate competition is a remarkable achievement in itself. Debates require a combination of preparation, critical thinking, and eloquent delivery. It is not merely about arguing a point but about presenting compelling evidence, structuring arguments logically, and engaging effectively with both the audience and the judges.
The journey to victory begins long before stepping onto the stage. Extensive research is crucial to understanding both sides of the topic. Our team, Anti-Diplomacy, comprising Sanjeevan Bhuyan (3rd Year) and Shrutasom Sengupta (3rd Year), dedicated countless hours to gathering relevant facts, anticipating counterarguments, and formulating strategic rebuttals.
The topic of the debate, “One Nation, One Election,” sparked intense discussion and required in-depth knowledge of constitutional principles, political dynamics, and governance efficiency. Our team embraced the challenge, presenting well-reasoned arguments with clarity, confidence, and conviction.
Effective communication played a vital role in our success. We ensured that our arguments were well-structured and supported by credible evidence. Additionally, the unwavering support and guidance of our faculty convener, Umang Sir, and Susmita Ma’am made this achievement possible.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Birla Global University (BGU) as well for being an excellent host and providing a platform for intellectual discourse. The competition was a testament to the power of dialogue and critical thinking in shaping informed perspectives.
This victory is not just a win for our team but a celebration of the spirit of debate and the pursuit of knowledge.
