Biography and academic profile
Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Shahi is currently an Assistant Professor, Senior Grade at the School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. He holds an LLB (Hons.) from the University of Lucknow and LLM from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad with a PhD from SRMU, Lucknow. He has a total of thirteen years of work experience in the field of teaching and research. He has published two books, 40 research papers, and 10 editorial columns on various socio-legal issues in reputable indexed journals, magazines, and newspapers respectively. His dedication has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Pillar of the Nation Award, “Pride of India Award (Best Teacher- Law)” for “Outstanding Performance in Teaching” in the year 2022 and 2023 respectively, and also awarded “Innovative Legal Research & Dedicated Teaching Professional (Law & Management Science)” in the year 2020. Currently, Dr. Shahi serves as convenor of the Lawyer Lecture Series Committee and co-convenor of the Legal Aid Services Committee at KIIT School of Law. He is also a member of the editorial board of several international and national peer-reviewed journals. His expertise lies in Criminal Laws, Energy Laws and Water Laws. He has even shared his knowledge by training and supervising IAS Probationers at LBSNAA, Mussoorie and is currently a visiting faculty at the Odisha Judicial Academy, Cuttack, and the Bureau of Police Research & Development, Central Academy of Police Training, Ministry of Home Affairs, Bhopal.
