Parimita Dash

Assistant Professor

Ms. Parimita Dash specializes in Intellectual Property Rights law and holds her specialization degree from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Her research area pertains to Intellectual Property Law, Cyber Law, interface between Intellectual Property law and other areas of law like that of Biological Diversity Law. She has been working actively on the cause of promoting traditional knowledge under the IPR framework and researching on creating a model for Benefit Sharing in India and has taken the traditional medicinal knowledge holders residing in and around Gandhamardhan Mountains in the state of Odisha as a case study.

Ms. Dash has presented several research papers in various national and international conferences and seminars on various areas of Law with a major focus on Intellectual Property Law and has attended a number of Training and Faculty Development Programs. Ms. Dash has conducted various seminars/ conferences and workshops in KIIT University.

B.A. LL.B (HOns.) (Five Years Integrated Law) from University Law College, Utka University, Bhubaneswar, LL.M (Intellectual Property Rights Specialization) From NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, PhD. Pursuing (on Intellectual Property Rights) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.

Awareness program on Intellectual Property Rights under NMCP Scheme of DCMSME, Govt. of India organized by KIITTBI etc. Since 2011, Ms. Dash has conducted various seminars/ conferences and workshops in KIIT University.\ 4. IPR Awareness Program Conducted by Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of Odisha at Odisha Bigyan Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. 5. Workshop on Access and Benefit Sharing mechanism under IPR framework conducted by State Biodiversity Board (SBB) Odisha at Bhubaneswar. 6. IPR Awareness Program conducted by Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Cuttack at CRRI campus.
