Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University, Bhubaneswar, India, is known for his research that has practical applications. Before joining KIIT University, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. He teaches Political Science to Undergraduate students and Systems of Governance and Public Policy to Postgraduate and Ph.D. students at the KIIT University. From 2013 to 2016, he worked at the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS), an Autonomous Centre of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, established and funded by the Government of India. While working at CIPS, Dr. Sethi worked directly with the Department of Health and Family Welfare of various State Governments in India. His research focuses on the theoretical-empirical study of the policy process, systems of governance, public policy, health policy, and rural development. Dr. Sethi has published research papers in reputed national and international journals. Some of his research publications span Law and Public Policy, Public Health, Indigenous People and the Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainable Development Goals.
