Soumya Mohapatra is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the School of Law, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (Deemed- to-Be-University) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She holds her Masters, M.Phil and Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her interest areas include Sociology of Religion, Sociology of Gender, Migration Studies. During her Ph.D., she had also worked as a research assistant for a project dealing with children living in urban poverty. She has participated and presented papers in various national as well as international conferences and seminars.
